Adriana Bustamante Domínguez was born in Mexico City in 1977. Having developed an early interest in painting, she distinguished herself through her precise draftsmanship. During her studies of architecture, she also dedicated herself professionally to art, her scope ranging from portraits to murals. Adriana Bustamante worked as an architect for some years, a career she combined with that of an interior designer, of lamps and furniture in particular. For the latter, she explored various forms of Mexican and modern European art, based on her extensive training at the workshop of Jorge Leguísamo and at San Luis Potosís’s AGORA art school. During Adriana’s first years in Germany she participated at a number of exhibitions in the region of Upper Franconia, Bavaria. Her current artistic interest is directed towards an innovative technique of woodcutting she studied with Conrado Domínguez.

Since 2008, Adriana Bustamante Domínguez has lived in Bielefeld, where she works at her own studio.
